I enjoy writing (mostly medieval fantasy, sometimes a bit of sci-fi/futuristic), drawing/painting, & more recently I have gotten very involved in knitting & hand spinning yarn. I live in the Pacific Northwest & love our mild, somewhat rainy weather. Rain=green goodness out here.
As much as I love to craft, I find that I tend to get so into it that sometimes I get a little overwhelmed or too one-tracked & my other crafts fall by the wayside. I'm not big into New Year's Resolutions, so these are more like craft "goals" for 2011:
Knitting/Spinning:
- Knit 4 "tops" this year, at least one of which has to be a full blown sweater.
- Knit at least one skirt/dress this year
- Either learn to sew in linings or get my 2 completed skirts lined professionally
- Learn how to knit colorwork/stranded, or how to do pockets, or how to hand sew in zippers
- Use the drumcarder more
- Try not to add to the stash until using up at least one of the same item (knit a pair of socks=can buy 1 skein sock yarn)
- Do NaNoWriMo (not necessarily during official NaNoWriMo)
- Complete outline of "big" story, preferably have part one drafted
- More ACEOs
- Complete 1 Ann Kullberg kit
